Dan Dalbout is an actor, writer, musician and collage artist who has resided in Austin, TX for the past 24 years. In 2003 he co-wrote and starred in Tobey McGraw: American United, which captured the attention of Austin and later the Alamo Drafthouse, winning the Best of the Year prize at their Open Screen Night.
He started the rock and roll band Chinaski in 2010 and played across clubs in Austin for five years as the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and songwriter. They recorded their self-titled debut in 2012. Over the past decade he's been seen on stage with Present Company, En Route Productions and Penfold Theater Company among others, twice being nominated for a B. Iden Payne Award as a featured performer.
Dan is on the board of the non profit Texas Comedies and has worked closely with them since 2012, bringing their shows to underserved communities with over 50 performances across the state of Texas since 2022.
In his spare time he enjoys cutting pictures out of old magazines, playing tennis and spending time with his two cats.
